Zula Geneva Combs Easter age 83 of Siler City, N.C. and formerly of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 in Chatham Hospital. Mrs. Easter was born in Carroll County, Va. on August 22, 1924 to Elbert & Lula Leftwich Combs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Easter. She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law Larry & June Easter of Siler City, N.C.; Elvin & Marsha Easter of Delco, N.C.; daughter Melissa Byrd of Wilmington, N.C.; brothers Carlie Combs & J.D. Combs both of Cana, Va.; five grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 15,2008 at 2:00 pm in St.Paul Church of the Brethren with Rev. Shelton Weeks, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 until service time at St. Paul Church of the Brethren.
