Winnie Carico Cox age 88 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Cox was born on June 5,1919 in Carroll County, Va. to Charlie M. & Lola Kirby Carico. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband
E. Lee Cox. She is survived by her sister Geneva Carico Higgins; niece Karen Higgins; step-son & his wife Jerry & Kay Cox all of Galax, Va.; brothers-in-law & spouses Roger & Betty Cox; Robert & Ginger Cox and Carroll Dean Cox all of Winston-Salem, N.C.. The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Joe Carrico officiating. Burial will follow in the Cox Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
