Winfred Glee Johnson, Jr. age 73 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in the Montgomery Lewis Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Winfred was born on March 22, 1952 in Morganfield, Kentucky to Winfred Glee Johnson, Sr.  and Mildred Elizabeth Nichols Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Debra Swinney and a brother Sam Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Beverely Haga Johnson; daughter and son-in-law Brooke and Corey Bennett all of Fries, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Tristan and Karrie Johnson of Pocahontas, Virginia; four grandchildren Ryker Johnson; Cael Johnson; Arcadia Bennett and Inara Bennett;  brother Curtis Johnson of Independence, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 PM until time for the service at the Grace Baptist Church.
