Wilma Sue Smith age 94 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Smith was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 22, 1925 to Anderson Monroe and Clora Thomason Bryant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Eugene Smith.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in -law Wilma Jean and Sonny Rector; Kathy and Donnie Baker; two sons and daughters-in-law Lewis and Cathy Smith; Danny and Andrea Smith all of Galax, Virginia; sister Dottie Semones of Hillsville, Virginia; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Snow Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Snow Hill Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to either the Snow Hill Cemetery Fund or to the Gideons International.
