Wilma Newman Littreal, formerly of Galax, Virginia, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Wilora Lake Healthcare Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Littreal. She was born August 7, 1922 to Alonzo and Carrie Robinson Newman of Woodlawn, Virginia (both deceased).
She is survived by her daughter Pam Cozza and husband Mike of Charlotte. She also leaves two grandsons: Chris Bryant and wife Anna of Abingdon Virginia and Patrick Bryant and wife Deborah of Alexandria, Virginia.
Mrs. Littreal is also survived by two sisters and two brothers; Dorothy McGee of Midlothian, Virginia and Mildred Surber of Roanoke, Virginia. Her brothers are Gilmer Newman and wife Adelene of Pulaski, Virginia and Wayne Newman and wife Barbara of Roanoke, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her fondest memories were of her family, especially her precious grandsons, friends at church, and her love of cooking.
The family wishes to thank Thyla Edwards and the staff of Wilora Lake Healthcare Center and Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region for their constant care and support over the years.
A service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home in Galax with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will be in Felts Memorial Cemetery.
