Wilma Celena Hanks' Obituary
Wilma Celena Hanks age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Hanks was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 16, 1922 to Davis and Lizzie Lawson King. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fletcher Ray Hanks.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Janet and Billy Melton of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Treva Osborne, Pernell Melton; Dickie and Lora Melton; great-grandchildren and spouse Angel and Nicky Mosley, David Osborne and Tiffany Melton; great-great-grandchild Alexis Mosley; brothers Claude King of Galax, Virginia; Edward King of Woodlawn, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Norma Crouse and Brother Perry Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Cranberry. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
