Wilma Jo Goad age 87, formerly of Galax, Virginia, died Sunday August 27, 2017 at Quail Meadows Assisted Living in North Ogden, Utah.
She was born on March 4, 1930 in Woodlawn, Virginia, the only child of the late Clayton Alexander and Josephine Morris Bedsaul.

Jo graduated from Radford College in 1949 with a degree in Education and earned her Masters of Education in 1972. She taught for 42 years with most of those years at Fries High School and Grayson County Vocational School.

On November 24, 1954 she married Jessie Lee Goad, who predeceases her.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Beth) of Eden, UT and Jed (Kimberly) of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Stefanie and Clay of Clarksville, TN; Nicki of Nashville, TN; Ryan and Andrew of Eden, UT.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Vaughan Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Sam Bartlett officiating. Interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery at Cranberry will be immediately following the service.
