Wilma Sue (Susie)  Nichols Galyean Floyd age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday August 29, 2023 in the Commonwealth Assisted Living in Hillsville, Virginia.

Mrs. Floyd was born in Grayson County, Virginia on August 20, 1932 to Glen Gilbert and Margie Sylvia Higgins Nichols. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children Coy Eldon "Pat" Galyean; second husband Mike Floyd and a son John D. Galyean

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jack and Kammie Galyean of Iowa; daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Larry Reedy of Galax, Virginia; step-children and spouses Mick and Debbie Floyd; Vicki and Chuck Gregory; Rick Floyd; Nikki and Dean Chavis; grandchildren and spouses Brandon Galyean; Jonna and Charles Lewis; Lauren and John Skogman; Kim and Jared Webb; Patrick and Nicole Galyean; Krista and Justin Ward; Aaron Coomes and Mikayla Reedy; brother and sister-in-law Kyle and Reenee Nichols; brother-in-law Tom Galyean and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Baywood Wesleyan Church with Pastor Randy Watts officiating. Burial will follow in the Galyean Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Baywood Wesleyan Church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Galyean Cemetery Fund, C/O Cathy Reedy, 1846 Snow Hill Road, Galax, Virginia 2433.
