Willis Henry Johnson age 79 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home.
Mr. Johnson was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 27, 1936 to Sidney Henry and Nancy Alice Montgomery Johnson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Stuart Johnson.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law William and Debbie Johnson; Michael and Rebecca Johnson all of Fries, Virginia; sisters Lena Frost of Galax, Virginia; Magdalene Mallory of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Homer Johnson; Vernon and Betty Johnson all of Fries, Virginia; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend Ronald Porter.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev Bill Shupe officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Twin County Hospice.
