Willis Layton Crockett, Sr. age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Crockett was born in Carroll County, Virginia; on January 24, 1933 to Willis Lanston and Esther Brown Crockett.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Goins Crockett of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Jacqueline and Allen Gee of Denver, North Carolina; Teresa and Steven LeGay of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; son daughter-in-law Willis Layton and Rebecca Crockett, Jr of Galax, Virginia; sister Barbara Billingslea of Toledo, Ohio, five grandchildren Tito Crockett; Heather Gee; Erica Moses; Joshilyn Darby and Holden Crockett; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
