Willis Roger Alley age 79 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday December 25, 2022 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Roger was born in Virginia on April 8, 1943 to James and Bessie Heffinger Alley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandchild Phoenix Vaughn; sisters Betty Jo Alley and Patsy Peake and a brother James Alley.

He is survived by his wife Opal Alley of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Terry and Jamie Gift of Fries, Virginia; son and daughter in-law Brian and Linda Alley of Jarrettsville, Maryland; six grandchildren Danielle Blevins; Garrett Blevins; Alley Blevins; Jarred Gift; Brian Alley, Jr. and Robert Alley; seven great-grandchildren Jasmine Blevins; Jeremiah Blevins; M.J. Johnson; Wesley Blevins; Taylor Blevins; Raven Vaughn and Maverick Vaughn; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. There will be no visitation.
