William Donald Sharp's Obituary
William Donald Sharp age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Sharp was born on July 15, 1934 in Carroll County, Virginia to Howard Clifford and Lena Burnette Sharp.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lee Brown Sharp of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Kenneth Funk of Elk Creek, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Darin and Laura Sharp; Donald Sharp all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Caitlin Funk; Jonah Sharp and Katie Sharp; sisters and brother-in-law Wilma Jennings; Jenell Bowers both of Woodlawn, Virginia; Ilene and Allen Akers of Hillsville, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Darrell and Rita Sharp of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Russell Payne and Rev. Harvey Carico officiating. Burial will follow in the Sharp Cemetery at Oak Grove. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115.
