William "Bill" Paul Jones, 93, passed away Friday July 4, 2014 at the Hospice Home following several months of failing health. He was the husband of the late Kathryn Power Jones who passed away in 2008. He was born in Grayson County, VA to the late David Samuel and Effie Martha Dillon Jones.

Bill had served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He retired from Burlington Industries Transportation Division after thirty-three years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Graham and a member of the T.J. Whitehead Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his daughter Diana Harris of Burlington, a sister Betty (Gilbert) Fortner of Galax, VA, sister-in-law Pauline B. Power of Richmond, VA, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter Paula Kathryn Fields, a sister Violet Jones Carico, brothers Marvin Samuel Jones and Melvin Alfred Jones The funeral will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.
