William Lee Bowers better known as Boss Bowers age 73 of Galax, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at this home.

Mr. Bowers was born on August 20, 1951 in Pulaski, Virginia to Curtis Lewis and Gertrude Mabel Taylor Bowers, Sr.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Curtis William and Heather Bowers; Lewis William and Maria Bowers; Marvin Floyd and Ricarda Bowers; sisters and brother-in-law Patsy Bond; Judy and Billy Alley; brother Joseph Bowers  all of Galax, Virginia; r five grandchildren Tayler Green; Mackenzie Bowers; Joshua Bowers; Caleb Bowers and Michael Bowers; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Billy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the River Hill Cemetery with Military Rites by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
