William Henry Young better known as Turk Young age 76 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Young was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 12, 1942 to Henry Alfred and Janie Elizabeth Cockerham Young. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna Young and son Dennis Young.

He is survived by a daughter Dondea Young and fiance' Celeste Archuleta of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Darnell and Carrie Young of Fries, Virginia;  Stephon and Karen Young of Winston-Salem, North Carolina;  sister Lillian Young of Fries, Virginia; half-brother Thomas Young of Georgia; grandchildren and spouse Stephen Young; Stephanie Young; Junior Young; Jerome Young; Cristin and Keith Nelson; Zemicah Young; Chantavian Young; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 1:00 PM in the Old Town Cemetery with Pastor Larry Cutler officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funereal Home from 12 noon until time to leave for the graveside service.
