William (Bill) Gale Moore age 86 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center in Independence, Virginia.

Mr. Moore was born in Fries, Virginia on August 17, 1928 to Mc Gale and Stella Mae Atkins Moore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Jones Moore, an infant daughter, a sister Wanda Moore Alderman and a brother Robert Blake Moore.

He proudly served our country as a Sgt. in the US Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife Clarice Bagwell Moore of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Joyce Moore Davis of Galax, Virginia; Lana and Darrell Sexton of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Samuel and Edna Moore of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouses Christopher Davis, Brittney Davis, Alex Davis, Devon Davis, Brett and Regina Sexton, Barry and Melissa Sexton; great-grandchildren Preston Davis, Avery Davis, Brooklyn Brown, Rhenna Sexton, Chandler Sexton and Ryker Sexton.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. James Cowley and Pastor Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
