Heaven gained two angels. William Bowen McFarland (age 66) passed away Friday March 19, 2021. Within twenty minutes of losing her beloved husband, Frances Driver McFarland (age 61) joined him in Heaven. Both passed in Twin County Regional Hospital.

Frances and William were preceded in death by their daughters Annie Marie McFarland and Jennifer Pearl McFarland. In addition to her daughters, Frances was preceded by her parents Charlie and Annie Bullard Driver; and brothers Roger Driver, Charles F. Driver, and Charles Driver. William was preceded by his parents William and Marie Booth McFarland; sister Mary Jane Gillespie; and brother Bobby McFarland.

Frances and William are survived by their daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Kurt Eichner of Woodlawn; grandchildren Faith Michelle Eichner of Galax, Bailey Hope Eichner of Woodlawn, and Blaine Ashton (Mallory) Eichner of Denver, Colorado.

Frances also leaves behind a sister Carolyn (Billy) Whitaker of Galax; and a brother Frankie (Joyce) Driver of Galax. William is also survived by sisters Becky (June) Gray of Austinville, Dorothy (Boyd) Graham of Galax, and Linda Sue (Frank) Graham of Fries; and brothers Sonny (Linda) McFarland of Galax, Joe McFarland of Galax, and Gene (Mina) McFarland of Maryland.

There will be a joint funeral service on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 2PM in Great Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. There will be no visitation.
