William Ferrel Isom's Obituary
William F. (Bill) Isom, age 70, of Galax, VA passed away Saturday, July 09, 2011 at the NC Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC.
Mr. Isom was born in Carroll County, VA to Orville Andrew and Thelma Lawson Isom March 30, 1941.
In additon to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Dallas & Bob Isom.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Isom of the home; son & daughter-in-law, Richard and Charlene Isom, Galax, VA; grandchildren and spouses, Brooke Isom, Brett Isom, Christopher Isom, Colt and Krissy Mathews, Monique and Bobby Melton; great-grandchildren, Liam Mathews, Bryce Melton, Bryleigh Melton and Brynn Melton; brother-in-law and wife Charles (Bud) and Linda Akers; sisters-in-law Agnes Billings; Joyce Isom and Dorothy Burnette.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Cliffview Church of God. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Ron Hill and the Rev. D.G. Fox. Visitation will be held at the church from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2011.
