William Edgar (Ed) Roberts age 80 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 in Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born in Galax, Va. on August 11, 1927 to Tom & Bessie Hendricks Roberts. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ora Mae Douglas and a brother Walter Roberts. He is survived by his sisters & brothers-In-law Louise & Luther Hanks; Alene Thomason; Geneva & Bobby Burcham all of Galax, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Ted J. & Wanda Roberts of Galax, Va.; thirteen nieces & eleven nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chaepel with Joey Baggatta officiating. Burial will follow in Galax City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
