William Daniel Padgett, better known as Bill, age 59, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018 at his home in Galax, Virginia. Bill was born May 14, 1959 in Carroll, Virginia to the late David and Reba Cora Williams Padgett.

Bill is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law James Martin Padgett and his fiancee' Janet Bowman of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and Richard David and Kathy Padgett of Woodlawn, Virginia. Also surviving are one niece, one nephew, host of cousins and friends, aunts, and an uncle; two special friends June Ring and Ashley; and special caregiver nurse Teresa Payne.

The graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Tim Smith, Pastor Rodney Christman, and Pastor Eddie Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Oakland United Methodist Church.
