William J. (Bill) Patton's Obituary
William J. (Bill) Patton age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Patton was born in Illinois on March 7, 1922 to John and Dawnie White Patton.
He is survived by his wife Hazel Patton of Galax, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Bonnie Patton of Wilmington, Delaware; Janice and Lawrence Thurrell of Hockessin, Delaware; step-children and spouses Reva and Charles Bowman; Joyce and Don Harmon all of Austinville, Virginia; Myrtle Wood and Chuck Chappell; Gay-Nell and Markel Cochran all of Hillsville, Virginia; Ray and Patricia Lineberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; C.J. Lineberry of Ashford, Washington; Wade Lineberry of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren; seventeen step-grandchildren; nineteen step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friend Charlie Alderman.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 3:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Eugene Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Ballard Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
