W. Craig Cruise age 74 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, September 22, 2025 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Craig was born October the 4th, 1950, in Galax, VA. to Edna Thompson Custer and Willard Cruise both of Galax, VA.

He was a dedicated supervisor at Hanes in Galax for over 33 years, when he was not working, he was teaching his many students the art of Taekwondo where he was the first instructor in Southwest Virginia. Craig loved to hunt, fish, ride horses, run his dogs, and spend time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Robin Cruise, and brother Michael Cruise all of Galax.

He is survived by son Bruce Cruise and wife Teresa Cruise of Galax, Grandsons, Colton Cruise and Rayne Cruise of Austinville, Va, Gavin Leftwich and Ashia Leftwich of Hillsville, Mason Cruise, and Aspen Cruise Primm and Rocky Primm of Austinville, Va.
He is also survived by six Great Grandchildren, two nephews, and many other friends and family.

A graveside service will be held October 12, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Brother Allen Testerman officiating.

He was loved, and was a born again Child of God.
