Wilburn Freeman age 79 of Austinville, Va. passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007 in Blue Ridge Health & Rehab Center. Wilburn was born in Carroll County, Va. on January 28, 1928 to the late Duard Baumont & Melissa Jane Wilkerson Freeman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Aldred and a step-daughter Connie Hines. He is survived by his wife Shirley Freeman of Austinville, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Diane & David Blevins of Galax, Va.; Leslie & Jack Leonard of Fries, Va.; sons & daughter-in-law Gregory W. Freeman of Hillsville, Va.; Douglas & Sharon Freeman of Fancy Gap, Va.; step-sons & spouse Jerry & Marsha Mullins of Wilco, West Va.; Ricky Lee Mullins of Mt. Airy, N.C.; sister Lillian Reece of Hillsville, Va.; brothers James Freeman of Max Meadows, Va; Clarence Freeman of Hillsville, Va.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday-April 2, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Coulson Church of the Brethren Cemetery with Pastor Tim Hawks officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 until 1:30 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
