Wayne Tompkins' Obituary
Wayne Tompkins age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Tompkins was born on February 16, 1941 in Surry County, North Carolina to Morgan and Eunice Galyean Tompkins.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Eastridge Tompkins of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Deborah and Bennie Davis; Tiffany and Jimmy Jones all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Reva Williams; Rosie Newman and Lillie Woodel all of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Lora Jean Tompkins of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
