Wayne Edward Bobbitt age 83 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Bobbitt was born in Virginia on September 18, 1926 to Kelly Swanson & Gertrude Akers Bobbitt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Addie Vaughan Bobbitt.

He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Rhonda & Ralph Hodge; sons & daughter-in-law Danny Bobbitt; Rodney & Debbie Bobbitt all of Fries, Va.; sister Mildred Cole on Independence, Va.; sisters-in-law Ilene Widner of Independence, Va.; Juanita Supthin & Magdalene Crowder both of Galax, Va.; Ann & Larry Bobbitt of Independence, Va.; brother-in-law Clinton Vaughan of Fries, Va.; grandchildren & spouse Angel Hodge of Charlotte, N.C.; Allen & Heather Bobbitt of Galax, Va.; great-grandchild Hayley Bobbitt; special friend Senior Airman Dillon Watson; several nieces & nephews; host of friends.

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 am in Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Rick Watson and Janet Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Fries Church of God of Prophecy.
