Warner Ray Belton age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Belton was born on October 11, 1932 in Lambsburg, Virginia to Hurley and Bertha Childress Belton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Belton; step-son Bobby Elliott; brothers Clarence Belton and Junior Childress.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Janice and Doug Warf of Millington, Tennessee; Wanda and Allen Wingate of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Kenneth & Kay Belton of Galax, Virginia; step-daughter-in-law Darlene Elliott of Fries, Virginia; sister Sue McCreary of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; brother William (Bill) Belton of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Barry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Baywood Rescue Squad or to the Baywood Wesleyan Church.
