Wanda Sue Williams Dowling, age 90, passed away Saturday June 1, 2024 in Waddell Nursing and Rehab.

She was born in the "Hawkstown" section of Fries on July 26, 1933 to the late Delbert Clarron Williams and Virginia Elizabeth Patton Williams. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents Frank F. and Lida J. Williams; brother George C. Williams; sister Betty J. Shaffner; her son's father Jessie Dowling and her beloved pets a Beagle "Banjo" and a Golden Retriever "Killer."

She is survived by her son Rocky Dowling of Galax, Virginia; several friends Judy and Gerald Anders, Joyce Brown, Linda Carlan, Linda Faulkner, Martha Pearman, and Janie Shaffner.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday June 5, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Mt. Hope Church with Dr. Marc Bewley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
