Wanda Lee Turner age 62 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, November 17, 2008 at her home. Wanda was born on November 25, 1945 in Carroll County, Va. to Lonnie & Lannie Fayne Fields. She is survived by her husband John P. Turner, Sr. of Galax, Va.; daughter & son-in-law Frances & Alan Gravley of Galax, Va,; sons & daughters-in-law Wayne & Gina Turner of Woodlawn, Va.; John & Teresa Turner, Jr. of Galax, Va.; sisters Bonnie Deal & Judy Fields both of Bassett, Va.; Janice Carrico of Galax, Va.; brothers David Fields; Danny Fields & Benny Fields all of Galax, Va.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 3:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Harold Fitzgerald, Rev. Wade Edwards and Rev. Sam Kinzer officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
