Wanda Pearl Lowe's Obituary
Wanda Pearl Pierce Lowe age 84 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Lowe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on January 5, 1930 to John C. Pierce, Sr. and Della Ward Pierce. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Whitt Lowe; son Robin Dennis Lowe; sisters Dalla, Leona and Glenna and brothers Clarence, Cone, J.C.; Herman, Kermit and Pete.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Kathy Lowe of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Justin Gilbert and Crystal Roberts; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn Hill, Caleb Nester and Kirkland Nester; sister Mary Ruth Nail of Galax, Virginia; special nieces Terri Lineberry and Jane Lowe; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. David Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Oakland Cemetery Fund, the Blue Ridge Chapel Baptist Church or to the Doug Donithan Ministry, 200 Alpine Place, Galax, Virginia 24333.
