Walter Howard Dotson's Obituary
Walter Howard Dotson, 86, formerly of Elk Creek, Virginia, passed way Monday, November 12, 2012 at his home in Galax, Va. He was born to Robert Lee & Josephine Anderson Dotson on February 11, 1926 in Carroll County, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Phillips Dotson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law Phillip Howard and Sue Dotson of Hebron Maryland; Michael Robert & Suzie Dotson of Woodbridge, Virginia; three grandchildren Craig Dotson, Cindy Dotson, Finley Dotson, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday November 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Gleasanna Dixon and Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating. Interment will follow in the Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Elk Creek, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to either the Twin County Hospice or the Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
