Vita Lee Osborne Barton age 99 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Barton was born in Grayson County, Virginia on June 20, 1918 to Willie Watson and Rose Adams Osborne
.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Vance Barton and daughter Phyllis Edwards.

She is survived by a son-in-law Lowell Edwards of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter and husband Karen and Larry Bowman of Hillsville, Virginia; great-grandchildren and spouse Brock and Cory Bowman; Blake Bowman; Bronson Bowman and Brogan Bowman; great-great-grandchildren Silas Bowman and Deacon Bowman; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Camet Spivey and the Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family respectfully request in lieu of flowers or food donations be made to the Gideons International.
