Vita Lee Jennings age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Ms. Jennings was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 1, 1934 to Hoyt and Carrie Lee Jones Anderson.

She is survived by her daughters Cathy Marie Jennings; Deborah Lee Jennings; Bonnie Sue Jennings all of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Alton Ray Jennings of Woodlawn, Virginia; Larry B. and Gretta Jennings; Frank E. and Shirley Jennings all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Rose Mary Taylor of Galax, Virginia; Virginia Rhodella Johnson of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; special sister-in-law Catherine Anderson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Frank E. Jennings and Brother Matthew Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
