Virginia Udell Willis' Obituary
Virginia Udell Willis age 99 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Willis was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 18, 1918 to William Henry and Nancy Miller Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Willis.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Jim Willis; Shotgun and Louise Willis; Rufus and Stacey Willis all of Galax, Virginia; step-son Roger Willis of Roanoke, Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Bethany Baptist Church with Clarissa Proctor and the Rev. Daryl Beamer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Bethany Baptist Church.
