Virginia Alene Roberts Thomason age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Thomason was born in Galax, Virginia on September 4, 1933 to Tom and Bessie Hendricks Roberts.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Early Boyd Thomason, Sr.; daughter Lois Love; grandchildren Jason Paul Thomason and Christina Hope Love; several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Early Boyd, Jr. and Cathy Thomason; James Lee and Lisa Thomason; son-in-law Edwin Love; sister Geneva Burcham all of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Kevin and Darlene Love; Chistopher Love; Courtney Love; Darrick Thomason; Heather Thomason; Brandon Johnson; James Michael and Brandi Thomason; six great-grandchildren Warrick Thomason; Cortana Thomason; Mason Love; Carlie Love; Casen Love an Braeleigh Love; ; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2;00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. James Cowley officiating. Burial will follow in the Galax City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
