Virginia Ruth Taylor Leonard known as Tiny Leonard age 98 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Leonard was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 28, 1919 to William Kyle and Ollie Holcomb Taylor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Henderson Leonard; sons Robert "Bobby" Leonard, John W. "Billy" Leonard, James E. "Jimmy" Leonard; son-in-law Otey Rector; siblings James Taylor, Wanda Billings, Mary Belle Archer and Marie Jones .

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Liz Rector; Kathy and Stanley Carter all of Galax, Virginia; Thelma and William Barr of Hillsville, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Don Fox and Shaun Rector officiating. Burial will follow in the Leonard Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
