Virginia Irene Shaw's Obituary
Virginia Irene Mays Bedsaul Shaw, 80, passed away Friday at Sunbridge of Alleghany, in Sparta, North Carolina. She was born October 11, 1928 in Carroll County, Virginia to Carson & Grace Fortner Mays.
She is survived by a daughter & son-in-law: Barbara & Pete Cyr of Austinville, a son Curtis Bedsaul of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren Robbie Ross, Angela Gillespie, Eddie Bedsaul, Eric Bedsaul and Michael Douglas; five great grandchildren Justan Killon, Cody Ross, Shauna Gillespie, Alex Bedsaul, and Dalton Gillespie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Neslon and three sisters Marilda Wagg Pyrtle, Clara Martin, and Folena Morris.
The family will receive friends Sunday November 9, 2008 from 12 noon until 1:30 PM at Vaughan-Guynn
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm in the McKenzie Cemetery, Galax with Pastor Ted Bartlett
officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079 C Spruce Street, Martinsville, VA 24112.
