Virginia Mildred Bowman Ring age 91 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday night at her home.

Mrs. Ring was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 23, 1927 to Lafayette L. "Doc" and Lena Martin Bowman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Homer William Ring.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Geneva Sue and Michael Huffman; Alice Marie Ring; sons and daughters-in-law Curtis Allen and Jewel Ring; Marvin Craig Ring; Cecil Martin Ring; Carl Eugene and Rhonda Ring all of Fries, Virginia; nine grandchildren Christopher Huffman; Nathan Jefferson; Monica Dolinger; Kimberly Wilson; Joshua Ring; Alyssa Hawks; Breanna Ring; Cody Brown; Dakota Brown; twelve great-grandchildren Noah Huffman; Robbie Dolinger, Jr.; Hayleigh Dolinger; Natalie Huffman; Nathan Jefferson, Jr.; Madison Brown; Paisley Dolinger; Colten Wilson; Jesstella Brown; Natasha Jefferson; Eva Brown; Dakota Bourne; several nieces, nephews and special friends.

The funeral service will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Burnett and Bonnie Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church at Fries, Virginia.
