Virginia Iva Miller's Obituary
Virginia Iva Miller age 91 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Miller was born in Carroll County, Virginia on February 9, 1926 to John Wiley and Renee Isom Carico. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James W. Miller; sister Etheleene Leckey; brothers Blair Carico; Luther Carico and Oakley Carico.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Pam and Jesse Shumate of Galax, Virginia; Carolyn Martin of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouse Jill and Sanford Lam; Chad Roberts all of Galax, Virginia; great-grandchildren Justin Lam and Katie Lam; several nieces and nephews; special niece Euncie Leckey; special caregivers Charlotte Archer and Faye Snow.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 12,2017 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Tony Vaughan and Pastor Faye Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
