Virginia Ann MacCord Matthews age 78 of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Matthews was born on January 7, 1947 in Stanton, Virginia to Howard Arthur and Elsie Mae Brunner McCord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother Betsy McCord and step-son Steven Andrew Matthews.

She is survived by her husband Harry Glen Matthews, Sr. of Mouth of Wilson; step-children and spouses Elizabeth and Matthew Jones of Roanoke, Virginia; William Edward Matthews of Sprague, Washington; Harry glen Matthews, Jr. of Arizona; sister Helen Mac Cord Winn of Richmond, Virginia; brother Art MacCord of Atlantic Beach, Florida; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
