Virginia Shupe Martin's Obituary
Virginia Shupe Martin age 90 of Fries, Va. passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Martin was born in Grayson County, Va. on October 20, 1918 to James Orville and Lizzie Byrd Shupe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Martin.
She is survived by her daughter Joan Marshall; son & daughter-in-law Mike & Patty Martin all of Galax, Va.; grandchildren and spouse Beth Stoots; Jenny Stoots; Jeff & Heather Stoots; Dutch Anderson and Valeria Cox; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:30 am at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Blevins and Rev. Ron Fredericks officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the church.
