Virginia Catherine Goins, 66, of Independence, VA passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, Virginia. She was born February 26, 1944 in West Virginia to Rev. James Taylor and Virginia Lee.

She is survived by her husband: Billy E. Goins of Galax; mother Virginia Lee of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters and a son-in-law: Yvetta & Terrance Banks, Lisa Teller and Rose Green all of Washington, DC; son Stacy Green of Washington, DC; step daughter Inga Goins of Galax; sister and brother-in-law: Sandra & James Davis of Columbus, Ohio. Eighteen (18) grandchildren, five (5)great grandchildren and three (3) step grandchildren and a special niece Evangelist Sharon Jones also survive.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Daryl Beamer and Evangelist Sharon Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time.
