Virginia May Carr Dolinger age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Dolinger was born on May 2, 1921 in Galax, Virginia to Morris and Margie Higgins Carr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Brian Dolinger.

She is survived by her children and spouses Jimmie & Doreen Dolinger; Carol Dickerson; Janet & Bill Nuckolls; Nancy McKenzie all of Galax, Virginia; Judy Fuller of Asheville, North Carolina; grandchildren Alan Dickerson; Billy Dickerson; Caroline & Scott Hurst; Stephen Stoneman and Chris Fuller; great-grandchildren Meredith Dickerson; Grace Dickerson; Morgan Stoneman and Bailey Stoneman; brother and sister-in-law Dean & Lucille Carr of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Mt.
