Virginia Smith Carr, age 95, of Grayson County, Virginia passed away Tuesday September 10, 2024 in her residence.

Virginia was born on May 13, 1929 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Claude A. and Alta Jennings Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Carr; an infant daughter; and brothers Porter, Harold, and Ralph Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Vicki Carr of Galax, Virginia; sister Edna Todd of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; as well as her church family and dear friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday September 14, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Crab Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder James Wyatt officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
