Virginia B. Higgins age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, September 15, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Patte, Idaho on December 20, 1919 to the late Luther and Lona Jennings Bedsaul. She is survived by her husband Thomas Higgins; daughter, Janie Higgins Alderman of Galax, Va; sons and daughter-in-law, Kerry T. & Carol L. Higgins of Lake Wood, Colorado; H.P. Higgins of Galax, Va.; sister, Euna Lee Chipman of Galax, Va.; five grandchildren, Raquel Alderman Lyons, Renae Jane Mitchell; Tracey Schneider; Bronwyn Tekla Higgins and Karianne Higgins. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from one until two at First Baptist Church. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to Twin County Hospice.
