Virginia Angellynn Cavin Horton better known as Angie Horton age 61 of Winston-Salem, North Carolina formerly of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Duke University Hospital.

Angie was born in Galax, Virginia on July 17, 1956 to Willard and Dorothy Ailene Cockerham Cavin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Carl Cavin, Gene Cavin and JR Cavin.

Angie was a devoted wife, proud mother and nana.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Horton of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Nikki and Zac O'Brien of Advance, North Carolina; grandson Wyatt O'Brien; sisters-in-law Vera Cavin Phillips, Phyllis Gilbert Cavin, Rhonda and Tommy Jones; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Sam Bartlett and the Rev. Dr. Mike Cavin officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the First Baptist Church.
