Virginia Beatrice Alley age 87 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Mrs. Alley was born on September 3, 1928 in Grayson County, Virginia to Lester and Ettie Pugh Vaughan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Alley.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Randy Gravely of Lynch Station, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Melvin and Glenda Alley of Taylorsville, North Carolina; sister Colleen Hiatt of Martinsville, Virginia; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Tony Vaughan and the Rev. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Fries Church of God of Prophecy.
