Virgil James Thomas' Obituary
Virgil James Thomas age 74 of Greenville, South Carolina passed away Monday, July 1, 2013.
Mr. Thomas was born in Galax, Virginia to the late Herrell Bruce and Bessie Virginia Stoneman Thomas.
Mr. Thomas served in the US Marines and was the retired owner of Taylor Guardrail. He was a member of the Northgate Baptist Church where he served as an usher.
Virgil enjoyed baseball, gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his ex-wife Judy Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law
Carol and Wyatt Traynham; Sherry T. and David Mauldin; grandchildren Hayston Lindsay; Buck James Mauldin and Will Traynham; sister and brother-in-law Lois Jean & Herb Privett; brother and sister-in-law H.B. Thomas, Jr. and Betty.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
