Virgil Lee Hanks' Obituary
Virgil Lee Hanks age 52 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.
Virgil was born on October 25,1958 in Galax, Virginia to Clyde and Gladys Peake Hanks. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother David Wayne Hanks.
In addition to his mother Gladys Hanks of Galax, Virginia he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law Sandra and Jeff Ballard of Pulaski, Virginia; brothers Randy Hanks and Nathan Hanks both of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ron Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Cliffview Church of God.
