Violet Shupe White's Obituary
Violet Shupe White age 86 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. White was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 24, 1926 to Ernest and Nancy Landreth Shupe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest White.
She is survived by her daughters Janet Marie White of Winchester, Kentucky; Rita Ellen White of Scottsville, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Sherry White of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Jonathan White and Elizabeth VanDyke; great-grandchildren John VanDyke and Rachel VanDyke; sisters Nell Hammond and Eva Jane Vaughan both of Fries, Virginia; Ella Ruth Snoddy of New Canton, Virginia; brother Curtis Shupe of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, 710 Mooretown Lane Fries, Virginia 24330.
