Viola Vacel Lam age 80 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Lam was born in Carroll County, Va. on March 29, 1929 to the late Roby Luther & Ocie Belle Sizemore Burnette. She is survived by her husband Sanford Lam, Sr. of Galax, Va.; daughter & son-in-law Sandra & Chapman Billings of Hillsville, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Sanford Lam II & Shirley ; Doug Lam & Caroline; sisters Dorothy Bowers & Mary Cox; brother Roy Burnette all of Galax, Va.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Lineberry Cemetery with Billy Burnette officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
